Make our Tzatziki at home 🥒
Fresh, creamy and ready in just a few minutes, our homemade tzatziki is the perfect dip for sharing, spooning into a pitta or serving alongside falafel and roasted vegetables.
Homemade Tzatziki
Fresh, creamy and ready in minutes!
You will need:
1 large pot of Greek yoghurt
1 cucumber
A small handful of fresh mint
A squeeze of lemon juice
Garlic granules or fresh garlic
Salt
Grate the cucumber and squeeze it well, keeping the cucumber water.
Blend the cucumber water with the mint, lemon, garlic and a pinch of salt.
Add the yoghurt and grated cucumber, then mix everything together.
Taste and add more salt, lemon or garlic if needed.
Perfect with warm pitta, falafel, vegetables, crackers or tortilla chips. Enjoy!

More Than Work Experience 💚
This month, we feel confident and ready to welcome another young adult with a disability into The Cheeky Pea team, giving him the opportunity to gain valuable work experience.
For some young autistic adults, just a few hours in a workplace can mean the world. It means joining a new environment, becoming part of a team and, for some, spending time away from familiar faces for the very first time.
We know our wonderful customers will help us make this a welcoming, positive and comfortable experience for him.
We are incredibly proud of our team for helping us make this possible- and we want to encourage our fellow Kingston businesses to do the same. If a small, independent family business like ours can create this opportunity, you can too.
Watch out, Kingston businesses- we’re hoping to inspire you! 💚
If you are interested in offering work experience to a young person with additional needs, please contact Achieving for Children at Kingston Council to find out how you can get involved.
