Our Family & Our Food Philosophy

At The Cheeky Pea, family is at the heart of everything we do.
As parents raising a child on the autistic spectrum, we understand the daily challenges around food, sensory preferences, allergies, and fussy eating.
We know how important it is for everyone to feel comfortable, included, and able to enjoy eating out without stress or pressure. That’s one of the reasons our salad bar is designed with every ingredient served separately- giving you the freedom to build your plate based on your own taste, tolerance, dietary needs, or allergies. Whether you love everything or prefer to keep things simple, we want everyone to feel welcome at our table.
Over the years, this approach has helped us become a favourite within the local community for people looking for healthy, affordable, and flexible food options when eating out.We take pride in keeping all of our dishes fresh, preparing our hot food to order, and making sure there are options for everyone to enjoy.
Alongside our homemade hummus and falafels, you’ll also find some much-loved treats, including our gluten-free tahini cookies, vegan carrot cake, and our newest addition — Hazelnut Babka with no added sugar.
We’re especially proud of our Kids Meal, created to give children flexibility and choice while keeping food fresh, balanced, and fun. Every Kids Meal includes hummus, salads, a main dish, fries, and a drink. Kids can choose how they enjoy it  as a plate, pitta pocket, or wrap with options including chicken, meatballs, or halloumi. For us, food is about more than just eating. It’s about comfort, inclusion, family, and creating a place where everyone feels seen, understood, and welcome
